DESCRIPTION:Leadership Medina County will present a seminar on Thursday\, November 11\, 2010 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Medina County University Center\, 6300 Technology Lane\, Medina. The cost is $15 per person and includes a continental breakfast.\n\n \n\n A panel consisting of representatives from The University of Akron and MTD Products Inc\, plus interns from Medina County Juvenile Detention Center and MTD Products\, Inc. whose internships led to permanent employment will share their knowledge and experience and answer questions regarding all aspects of internships and co-ops at the conclusion of the presentation.\n\n \n\nAn Employer's Guide to Cooperative Education & Internships will be available to all attendees.  The discussion will focus on paid versus unpaid internships\, types of businesses that can utilize interns and the pros and cons for both the intern and the employer.  This is an opportunity to learn more about the resources and state and federal funding available for such programs.\n\n \n\nPlease RSVP by Monday\, November 8.
